Nutrition

Food for thought

I have always been interested in the dynamic that nutrition plays in athletic endeavours and wellbeing.

Over the years I have worked with Performance Dietitian Rebecca Dent on my own nutrition and it was through this work I was able to understand, from the athlete perspective, how different foods and nutritional strategies could help me to get the most out of my body.

In 2017 I decided I wanted to learn more…on Rebecca’s recommendation I enrolled in MacNutrition Universal, an evidence-based nutrition course through which I qualified as an MNU Certified Nutritionist before going on to complete a Diploma in Sports Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee. Alongside these, I have also studied and certified in Intuitive Eating.

I now work as a coach for Lattice Training where we offer an nutrition service to existing training clients.

“During the consultation we discussed the best ways of fuelling for long days at the crag as well as advice around what to eat before and after training to speed up recovery and maximise performance. The suggestions that Mina gave were completely tailored to my goals and lifestyle and were also really easy to implement. I’m already starting to see the benefits. Thank you Mina!”

“Despite thinking I already had a good handle on my nutrition and was used to tracking my calories and macros, Mina gave me great new insights and an extremely well thought out plan for my nutrition to prepare me for a peak phase as a climber. Most importantly it worked really well for me and along the way I picked up some invaluable knowledge and strategies for handling my nutrition more effectively around my training and peak performance. She’s also an absolute pleasure to work with and super encouraging!!”
