Food for thought

I have always been interested in the dynamic that nutrition plays in athletic endeavours. As a climber, it took me a while to realise that only though effective training AND nutrition was it possible to really maximise adaptation and to find out where physical limits lie.

Over the years I have worked with Performance Dietitian Rebecca Dent on my own nutrition and it was through this work I was able to understand, from the athlete perspective, how different foods and nutritional strategies could help me to get the most out of my body.

In 2017 I decided I wanted to learn more…on Rebecca’s recommendation I enrolled in MacNutrition Universal, an evidence-based nutrition course run by Martin MacDonald and his excellent team of staff.

Fast forward to 2019 and I have qualified as an MNU Certified Nutritionist.

The course was fascinating, challenging and inspiring. I loved every minute and I am really excited to continue to learn more as I work with people to help them maximise their nutrition.
